This little cute hideaway is located in “Glockenbach”, an area close to the city center with lots of nice and small shops. The cafe is not only impressive because of its delicious food but also in terms of the cozy interior. There are only around 5 tables and some seating outside, but this creates the special atmosphere. The highlight from the breakfast menu is the avocado toast with salmon, egg and honey mustard dip. Next to the usual lunch and breakfast menu there is also a changing weekly offering with special dishes. As all their cakes are personally made at Ooh Baby I like it raw it is also worth stopping by for a little coffee and cake break. You can see, feel and taste that the owner puts lots of love and effort in the café.

2. Hidden Gem Munich: Dachgarten
You can find this feel-good spot in the middle of the city just across the Isar in Au Haidausen. It is located on the roof of the Gasteig. Take the stairs to the fourth floor, and you will see a wooden construction with many plants. Grab a drink and enjoy the good atmosphere and sun in the urban green oasis. No one has to leave the deck thirsty or hungry. In addition to the bar, where you get everything from juice to wine, the small menu offers delicious pizza, hamburgers, and sandwiches. The closest station is “Rosenheimer Platz”.

This ice cream parlor is exploding in popularity as more and more people try their delicious ice cream. You can expect many different varieties of awesome flavors that will keep you fresh during the summer. However, they don’t stop there! To experience a unique and charming spot, head to Minna Thiel. This old rail bus from the 1950s made a long journey from bustling Berlin to Maxvorstadt. Situated in the heart of the art district, it has become a popular meeting place for students from the surrounding universities. Minna Thiel offers a vibrant cultural scene with readings, workshops, live and DJ music, and games to borrow, including a table tennis table. Enjoy hot and cold drinks all summer long while you relax and soak in the creative atmosphere. Named after the devoted wife of a railway guard from Hauptmann’s novella, Minna Thiel symbolizes support, unconditional love, and a refuge who long for something special.

6. Hidden Gem Munich: Man versus Machine
To get your daily dose of caffeine, stop at Man versus Machine. The roastery opened its doors in 2014 in the hip district Glockenbach, but you can also find them in two other locations now. Since then, they have attracted lovers of “Speciality Coffee,” also called the Third Wave Coffee. Make sure to try the flat white coffee with oat milk! It´s a dream. There is also something special about the interior at their location in Schellingstr. – the wallpaper was designed by a local tattoo artist.

7. Hidden Gem Munich: Mary´s Coffee Club
This is a spot for breakfast lovers and probably the most instagrammable café in Munich. Every detail is made with love! Rose gold dinnerware, marble tabletops, cacti in beautiful pots, cognac-coloured leather cushions and a turquoise tiled counter. No matter if you love hearty or sweet breakfasts, Mary’s Coffee Club offers both. How about the oriental flat bread with beetroot hummus, feta, egg and avocado? The best part, however, is that you will get the brunch all day long! Of course you can also try one of the delicious cakes along with your coconut cappuccino, or how about some cookie dough? 8. Hidden Gem Munich: Hackerbrücke Sundowner
If you’re looking for a prime spot to enjoy beautiful sunsets and well-deserved after-work drinks, head to Hackerbrücke. The Hacker Bridge is special not just for its distinctive curved arch construction but also for its historical significance. As one of the few surviving wrought iron bridges from the 19th century, it’s an architectural monument. Its central location and role as a pedestrian bridge during Oktoberfest add to its charm. However, what truly sets it apart are the stunning sunsets over the tracks of Munich’s central station, making it a favorite among Munich’s citizens for many years.

Munich at its best. This is a nice place for enjoying a good cocktail with great view. The Flushing Meadows Rooftop Bar is not only meant to be enjoyed during the evening hours but is also good for the early birds. Discover Fräulein Grünein, a charming kiosk with a unique history. Once a public restroom near the Eisbach in the Englischer Garten, it has been transformed into a cool spot offering great food and drink. You can enjoy snacks, cakes, ice cream, lemonade, beer, and the best coffee. Weekdays feature a delightful lunch menu with three different dishes: a soup, a vegetarian option, and a meat dish.
