When you enter this little indoor market you can already smell fresh coffee and some uniquely Frankfurt food and drinks. The locals go here on Saturdays for a little bit of grocery shopping, but also to enjoy lunch and local wine. The internationally-influenced area provides a great opportunity to chat with locals, friends, and foreigners alike. It’s located right in the city center, next to the shopping district. Keep in mind that it it’s not open on Sundays!

This wonderful green oasis hidden right in the heart of Frankfurt is the ideal coffee place to relax while eating delicious healthy food. Balance Deli’s decoration is just awesome, it is filled with plants, has a huge wide window that lets natural light come in, and really comfortable seating. Not only can you take a break from everyday life here, but it is a top spot for coworking as well. Their bowls and smoothies are also phenomenal! Everything is freshly made and vegan. If that wasn’t enough, this spot is a yoga studio at the same time! So yoga lovers will have tons to do here.

Perfect during the summer, but also during the beginning of winter. This beach club is located on top of a parking lot which gives you a great view of Frankfurt’s skyline. During the summertime you can lay in the sun, sip a homemade lemonade, and dip your feet in the pool. During the winter you’ll experience the highest Christmas market in all of Frankfurt. 5. Hidden Gem Frankfurt: Palmengarten
The Palmengarten is one of Frankfurt’s most treasured attractions, with the historic Palm House as its heart and showpiece. Opened in November 1869, even before the garden itself, the Palm House was envisioned by the garden’s founder, Heinrich Siesmayer, as a sanctuary for exotic plants and a social hub for Frankfurt’s society. Today, the Palmengarten boasts over 18,000 different plant species, making it one of the largest botanical gardens in the world.

At this little store you will find the best products from neighbouring France including cheese specialities, sausages and meat products as well as wines from Bordeaux and the southwest. The Fromagerie in Nordend is more than a cheese shop – the owner does not only want to sell original French cheeses, but also to convey the French attitude about life. Spend some relaxing time here over one of the colourful cheese and sausage platters accompanied by a glass of wine or champagne. Make sure to try the truffle versions as they taste insanely good!
