The most important cycle paths in the Oberallgäu include the Iller cycle path, which leads from south to east, the Bodensee-Königssee-cycle path, with which you can explore the district from west to east, and the Allgäu cycle path in the north of the region.

In Oberstdorf you will find the Breitachklamm, one of the deepest rock gorges in Central Europe. The secured path leads from the valley to the upper end of the gorge in about an hour and a half on foot. In summer, impressive masses of water rush through the gorge. In the winter, they form into mighty ice-curtains.

The Mountain Farm Museum in Diepolz is particularly popular among children. In this open-air museum you can visit a real farm with many animals. Children love hay bouncing in the hay stick or romping at the adventure playground. You can also walk the Kuhnigundeweg on the museum grounds and explore the many play and information stations.

Take the cable car from Oberstaufen to the Hochgrat mountain station, which rises 1,834 metres above sea level. This mountain is the highest of the Nagelfluh chain and seduces to alpine walks with breathtaking views. From the mountain station up to the summit you have to walk about 30 minutes.
