In the northwestern part of the old town of Nuremberg, the Kaiserburg Castle is enthroned on a rock which invites you to take a sightseeing tour. The castle dates from the late 15th century. However, the pentagonal tower, which used to serve as a granary, was built around 1050. Take a look at the Kaiserburg Museum with the Knights' Hall, the double chapel and the castle courtyard. From the castle garden you get one of the best views over the city.
