2. Hidden Gem Capetown: Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden
The location and the unique flora make these 52,800-sq-km botanical gardens among the most beautiful in the world. The most recent attraction in the garden is the so called “boomslang,” a 130m-long tree-top walkway that snakes above the arboretum, giving you an aerial view of the gardens and Cape Town beyond. After exploring everything you can have a picnic or enjoy high tea in Kirstenbosch´s tea room. The scones are simply delicious! From November to April, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden holds wonderful summer sunset concerts which you should definitely not miss.

3. Hidden Gem Capetown: Babylonstoren
Doing a wine tour during your stay in Capetown is almost a must-do. While the Cape Winelands are famous for their vineyards, Babylonstoren is a multifaceted farm that does it all–amazing wine, food and accommodation. Dating back to 1692, Babylonstoren is a historic Cape Dutch farm with a magnificent garden that is laid out over 3,5 hectares. In the garden you can find everything: Veggies, fruits, bees for pollinating, chicken, incredible beautiful flowers and so on. There is so much to explore in Babylonstoren that we would recommend planning on a whole day for your trip.

4. Hidden Gem Capetown: Nourish´d Café
For everybody who loves the “healthy stuff,” the Nourish´d Café is a good place. It’s vegan, eco-conscious and dedicated to sustainable ingredient-sourcing. The café’s main focuses are delicious smoothies and bowls, but you can also find sandwiches, overnight oats and salads here. If you are looking for a cool spot in the city during the day for a refreshing juice or a light meal, then Nourish’d is a great choice. Our recommendation: The “Boobalicious Smoothie,” made with peanut butter, banana, chia and homemade almond milk. Keep in mind that it is closed on Sundays.
