The largest eastern Orthodox cathedral in the world is an absolute must if you visit Sofia. You will not find any pictures of the inside as it is not allowed to take them. Close to the Greek border, the Devil’s Throat Cave is a very popular and tourist attraction. When you look at it, the cave resembles a Devil’s head and the cascade inside, looks like it is rushing down its throat. Inside the cave you can follow the marked paths that take you to the galleries leading up to the waterfall. At the top it is possible to see the water descending into the Hall of Thunder, the second largest cavern in Bulgaria. Many questions regarding this fabulous caves, remain still uncertain.

Potibi Kamani is most known for its nickname, the Stone Desert. The area comprises piles of rocks, sand dunes and rock columns. This is one-of-a-kind desert of the few in Europe with similar characteristics and features. The tall columns reach up to 22 feet high(7 meters) and 10 feet thick. What is so special about them? What makes them truly unique is that these are hollow columns filled up with sand. Enjoy a stroll around them and discover the fantastic Stone Desert. It will be one of the highlights of your trip.

If you love being in contact with nature, you must spend a day in the Srebarna Nature Reserve. This stunning area comprises the most incredible flora and fauna of the country. You can admire the natural beauty of Lake Srebarna, watch the mute swan, the Dalmatian Pelican or the herons.
