There is no better way to make your Montana vacation complete than by lodging in and enjoying a secluded, authentic hand made log cabin. This cabin has been a 44 year labor of love by a carpenter who designed it, cut and stripped over 180 lodgepole pine trees, and set in excess of 390 separate logs to create this beautiful unique log structure, unlike any others that you may have seen before. From the hand built cabinetry, the masonry work, the hardwood and quarry tile floors, the handrailings, to the one-of-a-kind log spiral staircase, the craftsmanship is apparent and admirable. Travelers and activities

Montana for nature lovers

It is more than known that nature lovers have many places to visit in this impressive place full of landscapes and natural wonders; however, tell me more representative and famous for all that it means that Going-to-the-Sun Road is a picturesque mountain road in Glacier National Park in Montana that has natural landscapes that are difficult to find anywhere else in the world. Sun Road, as it is sometimes called in National Park Service documents, is the only road through the park and crosses the Continental Divide through Logan Pass at an elevation of 6,646 feet (2,026 meters), which is the highest point of the road. Construction began in 1921 and was completed in 1932, with a formal opening on July 15, 1933, the following summer. The road is the first to have been registered in each of the following categories: National Historic Site, National Historic Landmark, and National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

Montana for history lovers

In another instance of the same place, the history lover also has a place where they can display all their passion. A site that is in charge of preserving a good part of the knowledge of the past in the conformation of this place, and that has enormous importance. Museum of the Rockies is an amazing institution affiliated with the Montana State University and the Smithsonian Institute, which is internationally known above all for its palaeontological collection, which has many dinosaur fossils, as well as the results of geological studies, which tell the physical and cultural history of the Rocky Mountains and the people and animals that have lived here for 500 million years. Among the most important collections are enduring people chronicling American Indian life on the Great Plains and travel exhibits such as African-American costume art and film.

Did you know that the Museum of the Rockies has the largest skeleton of Tyrannosaurus Rex discovered in the world?
