And, if you’re brave enough, you could also take a walk around Neskowin’s Ghost Forest, where you can see the remains of trees that once stood tall on this coast for centuries. One of the focal points of Neskowin is its golf course, and the luscious backdrop turns it into a second-to-none golfing location. Once you get to the seventh hole, you’ll see why! This nine-hole, 35-par course can be enjoyed all year round, and avid golfers have been coming to Neskowin Beach Golf Course for over 80 years.

The views from the top of the trailheads are definitely rewarding for those who have braved the climb. Some of them, such as the Nature Conservancy Trailhead, are only open from July to January, while others, like the Salmon River, can be accessed all year round.

As well as offering more hiking routes, Nestucca Bay Wildlife Refuge is an idyllic spot for immersing yourself in your surroundings and spotting some birds. Don’t forget your binoculars!

Nowadays we can see the Ghost Forest all year round. However, the best time to go is when the tide is low so that you can wander in between these spooky and ancient trees.

Climb up to the top of this little island to enjoy the views of the town and the ocean and feel the sea breeze blow through your hair. The rock has a romantic backstory, so it makes the ideal place to take your loved one.
