There are 6 miles of walking and hiking trails, a bike trail, a pavilion, a playground, an observation tower, and a pond. It’s a great place to spot several bird species that are local to the area including woodpeckers, owls, egrets, herons, scissor-tailed flycatcher, turkey vulture, and killdeer. The park is also inhabited by several other species of wildlife including bobcats, coyotes, deer, turtles, fish, and rabbits.

The whole family will love visiting the Cavanaugh Flight museum, where you can visit a variety of vintage aircraft and learn about the history of aviation. There are several genuine Warbirds, including a variety of World War I models, and a B-25 that still flies. Spend a few hours wandering around the museum, learning about the history of different airplanes from the WWI era until now.

There’s no shortage of things to do at this sprawling 10-acre destination park. At the entrance, you are welcomed with a towering, blue steel structure called Blueprints, which serves as the gateway to the rest of the park. The park is home to regular summer concerts, as well as theatrical productions and other events in the spring and fall. You can explore the many walking trails in the park, three performance venues, and a pavilion. It’s a great place to go for a long morning or after-dinner walk with the whole family.

Bitter Sisters Brewery is popular among visitors and locals alike. This fantastic little brewery offers a large assortment of different beers, so stop by and try a flight to taste them all. Their red ales and cranberry beer are crowd favorites!
