On the left bank of the Danube, the magnificent Bratislava Castle towers on an 85-metre-high rocky promontory. The historic 9th century estate can be visited and houses the Bratislava Historical Museum and the Crown Jewels of the Hungarian Kings.

In the Slovak National Gallery visitors can view changing exhibitions of national and international artists. Famous works of renowned painters and photographers are dedicated to architecture, nature or portraits, in addition to social and historical themes.
