Visit the Musée des Antiquités above the ferry port on the Kasbah rock. The eastern city gate Bab Haha leads you directly there. This museum is housed in the former kitchen rooms of a sultan's palace. On display here are Stone Age finds, burial objects, lead sarcophagi, urns from the necropolis of Marshan as well as legacies from the time of the Romans, Portuguese and British. Also worth seeing is the throne and reception hall with Artesonado ceiling.

At the edge of the medina is the Grand Socco, the largest bazaar in Tangier. You can buy traditional souvenirs at the market, including woollen blankets, carpets, silver tableware and gold jewellery. In addition to the large selection of goods, you will also see wonderful performances by street artists such as fakirs, magicians, dancers and snake charmers.
