About 23 kilometres south of the coast of the English Channel, the French metropolis extends in the west of the country in the Département Côtes-d`Armor. About 14,000 inhabitants live in the historic city, whose old town is 75 meters high above the river La Rance.
Metropolis of art and historyDinan is one of the oldest municipalities in Brittany and can look back on a thousand years of history. In 1985, the Ministry of Culture named Dinan "City of Art and History".
