This beautiful paved bike path winds along the rocky coastline and offers magnificent views of the turquoise sea. The path is extremely safe and can be explored for several hours. Spend an afternoon biking along the path and exploring the small towns along the Riviera. You can rent bikes on an hourly or daily basis from a variety of bike rental shops in town.

The historic downtown area of San Remo is called La Pigna, which means the pine cone. It’s the oldest part of the city with many winding alleyways and historic buildings. Stroll through the gardens of Queen Elena, walk around the squares, and visit sanctuaries and churches.

San Remo is home to a plethora of golden sandy beaches with clear turquoise waters. Experience this sliver of the Mediterranean to the fullest by trying as many of the local beaches as possible. The best beach for swimming is Tre Ponti where the waters are sparkling clean and the scenery will take your breath away. Bagni Paradiso is another popular option for swimming with its wide shores and swimmable waters– there’s even a nearby restaurant where you can grab lunch or dinner too!

This enormous old fort stands at the beginning of the San Remo harbor and is home to a rich history. It was built by the Republic of Genoa in the mid-1700s as a means of protection against invaders. Spend an hour or so walking around the fort and discovering the history of the place.
