This is an idyllic getaway for families or friends surrounded by fields where cows graze, as well as the additional sightings of the wild muntjac and roe deer, hares and foxes as well as egrets, heron and cormorants.
The open-plan living and kitchen make it a real social hub of the property, where all guests can get involved with the cooking, or keep the designated chef company.
When it's time to serve, bring the dinner party natter to the dining table and toast to an unforgettable holiday.
Afterwards, curl up on the sofa and put a DVD on for a spot of family bonding.
Or, find a tranquil spot in the garden and get lost in a book courtesy of the bookshelf.
Three bedrooms await sleepy heads; two king-size rooms and a twin, all enveloped around countryside views, making it a peaceful haven to catch your rest.
In the morning, freshen up in one of your en-suites for some privacy, have a soak in the bath or rinse in the shower before indulging in your morning coffee amidst the serene landscape and occasional bird song.
Located in Erlestoke, there are a plethora of footpaths that can take you to the next villages of Great Cheverell and Edington, as well as onto far longer walks across Salisbury Plain.
These neighbouring villages have village/farm shops as well as public houses where you can taste-test the local delicacies.
For a wider range of shops and eateries, the market town of Devizes is a short drive away and features an award-winning museum, over 500 listed buildings, the 29 locks of the Caen Hill flight on the Kennet and Avon canal, a wide range of independent shops as well as the Devizes Arts festival held in June.
Further afar, you can visit the World Heritage sites of Stonehenge and Avebury, experience the historic cities of Salisbury and Bath, Longleat Safari Park and a range of stunning National Trust properties such as Lacock, truly showcasing the picture-postcard landscape.
The Cook House is your idyllic countryside getaway at the click of a button, awaiting memories to last a lifetime.
