The 45 m2 Lakehouse holiday flat is located on the outskirts of Haltern am See. The popular town centre with numerous shops, restaurants and cafés is approx. 1.8 km away. The nearest supermarket is just a few minutes' walk away. The river Lippe flows in the immediate vicinity, which is very popular with cyclists and canoeists. Follow the river by bike along the Römer-Lippe route. You can gain more insight into Roman life at the Roman Museum (approx. 3 km), which is well worth a visit. The forests around the Haltern reservoirs offer marvellous tours on foot or by bike. Another real insider tip is the Westruper Heide - a marvellous heathland area near the reservoirs. When the weather is nice, the beer gardens by the lakes and the extremely popular lidos with their fantastic sandy beaches are a great attraction. Beautiful cycle tours lead through the Hohe Mark Nature Park with its forests and hills or to Lüdinghausen with its imposing Vischering Castle (approx. 21 km). The wild horses in the Merfelder Bruch (approx. 14 km) near Dülmen are a real experience. The Zollverein colliery (approx. 40 km) in Essen, the ship lift in Henrichenburg (approx. 22 km) or the Recklinghausen substation (approx. 24 km) offer industrial culture. These places are easy to reach by public transport or by car.
