Avdat National Park is located in the Negev Desert in the southern part of the country. In this park you can admire the ancient ruins of the Nabataean city of Avdat. The archaeological excavation site still contains numerous sights today, such as a late Roman burial chamber, a Roman villa and a Byzantine quarter. Architecturally and historically interesting are also the citadel at the huge city gate, the Acropolis, the Nabataean temple and a Baptistery.

One of the most important Christian sites in Israel is the Mount of the Beatitudes, located on the Sea of Galilee. According to Christian tradition, the Sermon on the Mount of Jesus took place here. Take a look at the Church of the Beatitudes from the 1930s, built by the dictator Mussolini.
